Early free-hand pieces with ink

These are some of the earliest free-hand pieces that I've found myself happy with. All drawn using ink in the style of French graffiti artist Iemza

A-level exam work

These are a few of the final outcomes I produced for my A-level Graphics exam. I chose the brief of branding and promotion for the Vans Warped Tour in New York, so created a logo for the event, an advertising poster, a banner promoting the headliners and a promotional CD with all the designs and imagery in the booklet being my own

Posters done for my A-levels

These are two A2 sized posters I created for my A-level Graphics project of restoring derelict land. The photographs are my own, with edits and layers places over the top using Adobe Photoshop

Live photography

A small collection of dated photography I took at live gigs. The larger image of the band Young Guns is the most recent, taken in December 2010
No effects or alteration applied to the smaller shots, all done using a standard digital camera

Outline of a hand-drawn dragon

This was the early stages of a sketch I did by hand. Oriental style dragon with just outline done firstly in pencil, then gone over in fine liner

Traditional-style tattoo design for a friend

I designed this piece by hand for a friend who has been through a lot with their mother. They plan to get the piece tattooed together, with one having the heart locket and the other having the key, but both having the script "Time's a beautiful healer"
Little reference used

Pokemon design by hand using standard pencil crayons

I designed this due to my childhood interest in Pokemon. Completely hand-drawn with standard pencil crayons to colour and shade
I wasn't completely satisfied with how the colours turned out and have been advised by a friend to try water colour pencils in future

Hand-drawn traditional-style tattoo design for a friend

This is another design I did for a friend, completely hand-drawn and layered with little use of references. They have had the outline and some colour started and are having it finished within the next few months
The artist changed the original layout and altered some of the design to make it fit the arm and flow better

Hand-drawn Dobby from Harry Potter

I drew this image of Dobby from Harry Potter by hand with use of a reference, as an experiment to test my ability at drawing life

Tattoo design for a friend

I designed this Italian design for a friend and he had it tattooed at Studio IX in Manchester
The original design was altered slightly by the tattooist in order to fit the canvas of his forearm more adequately

Hand-drawn and painted Hayley Williams

This A3 sized design of singer Hayley Williams was drawn entirely by hand using a reference, and painted using poster paints
Done as an extra curricular piece

Hand-drawn eagle enhanced using Illustrator

This eagle design was done by hand for one of my Graphics A Level projects, then scanned into Adobe Illustrator and enhanced to pick out all the outlines and easily fill with colour
